 Bill Payments

With over $2.5 billion in consumer and business payments processed annually. Englobe Bankcard Corporation, has partnered with several leading bill payment processors  to offer its merchants the added convenience of accepting consumer bill payments for a wide range of selected billers.

Here is how  it works:

Englobe, signs up independent retail merchants as authorized Payment Centers to process consumer funded payments. Each location is connected to a payment network through a payment terminal, either a Computer Payment System through the Internet, a Kiosk  or POSA terminal through a dial-up phone connection or broadband.

Customers come in with their bills and cash or check. The store clerk enters the bill payment transaction into the device, collects the amount to be paid along with a small convenience fee and issues a computer-generated receipt. Utilities, water, cable, department stores, car-loans, credit cards, wireless services and many other bills can be paid. The same day that payments are made, payment records are transferred electronically from the retail location to a Payment Data Center Processor for electronic delivery to the Billers.

Processor tracks each Englobe's merchant payment through a secure data network,  provides bi-lingual customer service via a toll-free number, resolves any disputed transactions, and posts most customer payments within 1-2 banking days. Additionally, there are real-time and near-time payments posted within 30 minutes for many billers, as well secure.

Convenience Bill Payments - These are typically everyday consumer bills such as the local utilities; cables, gas, electric, telephone or national billers such as wireless phone, credit cards, or automobile finance. In addition to the bill payment amount, the consumer pays a convenience fee between $1.75 - $5.00 and the payment is posted to their account by the biller in 1-2 business days.

Expedited Payments - These are typically payments to the wireless carriers like T-Mobile, Sprint or Cingular and other national vendors like Satellite and Cable TV. In addition to the bill payment amount, the consumer pays a slightly higher convenience fee between $3.00 - $5.00 and the payment is posted to their account by the biller the same day. Some billers subsidize this service and therefore there is no consumer fee.

Authorized Payments - These are typically payments to the local utilities; cables, gas, electric, telephone o. In addition to the bill payment amount, the consumer may pay a lower convenience fee between $1.50 - $3.00 and the payment is posted to their account by the biller the same day.
